Gaucho set to Release New Album 'Baltimore' on March 17, 2022

“To our fans, friends and family, whose generous donations made this album possible in the midst of a pandemic, we are so grateful. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! A very special thank you to Deanna Shea Lares, Gaucho’s coordinator, whose vigilance kept this moving forward. And lastly to Leon Oakley, a great musician, mentor and friend, for introducing us to many of the songs on this record. It was an honor to work with you on this project.

We are ecstatic to announce that this is our fifth album with artwork by Erin Ellis! Erin first began to work with Gaucho in 2006 having just moved to San Francisco from Baltimore. In her time studying art there, Erin fell in love with Baltimore’s history and architecture, making her the perfect fit for this new album.

Lastly, while Gaucho has performed in San Francisco for 20 years now, Baltimore is where I grew up, first learned music and heard jazz. It feels wonderful to release a work named for this city.” –Dave Ricketts, Gaucho Band Leader
